Heat storage in industry In the future multi-energy system, flexibility will become increasingly important, in particular to allow the integration of more and more variable renewables into the electrical system. When we think of storage, it is often the storage of electricity by battery. Beyond that, heat storage in industry at high temperatures could well play an important role in the years to come. In this presentation, Patrick Havil from TotalEnergies R&D will present his vision of the various high-temperature heat storage technologies, then Robin Girard will offer a presentation of the economic model that could make such storage profitable in the years to come.
