THE monthly meeting for Zenon members, allowing us to present our thoughts, discuss and share together on the topics of climate technology.

Innovation was the subject of this new meeting!

Achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050 involves activating all possible levers of action: public policies, sobriety and efficiency/technology. If in the short term the necessary technologies already exist and need to be deployed massively, new technologies will be necessary. According to the International Energy Agency, in 2050 nearly 50% of emissions reductions will come from technology that is still in the development stage. This development will be based on various innovations, incremental or disruptive. But exactly, what was the role of innovation in the emergence of our society? And how does the innovation process work?

Topics covered by our two speakers: Benjamin Cabanes (teacher-researcher in management sciences at the Institut des Hautes Études pour l'Innovation et l'Entrepreneuriat de Mines Paris PSL) and Philippe Aghion (professor at the Collège de France and the London School of Economics)
