In 2021, nearly 2.5 billion dollars were invested in start-ups developing nuclear fusion reactor projects. There are more than 30 start-ups in this field, a number that has increased sharply in recent years. However, according to its detractors, nuclear fusion is “still going to happen in 30 years.” What explains this sudden enthusiasm in this field? Who are the players involved, and are we about to finally see the emergence of this technology, which could represent a real breakthrough in the field of energy? All these questions were discussed with the members of Zenon.
