Conference: How quickly can energy infrastructure be transformed?
Limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees means achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Knowing that more than 80% of our energy still comes from oil, gas and coal, a radical transformation of our energy system is necessary over a relatively short period of time. This involves, among other things, massively deploying low-carbon means of electricity production. But are the required deployment rhythms possible? Have they already been reached in some countries? What are the levers of action to speed things up?
