Smart Grids: what “intelligence” for tomorrow's electrical networks?

Round table and Q&A

About:

The energy transition involves major transformations in the electrical system. The development of decentralized renewable energies, the electrification of heating and the associated electrical peak, and the development of the electric vehicle impose new constraints on the electricity transmission and distribution network. By 2032, in its network development plan, ENEDIS plans to increase its investment from 4 to 5 billion euros per year. At the same time, some of these loads can be controlled and more and more the electricity distribution network is equipped to observe and control some of the elements connected to it. This is called the smart grid.

But what does this intelligence consist of? What operation is envisaged? What type of market is associated with it?

Robin Girard, Scientific Director of Zenon Research, will present the technical and economic challenges of these new developments, as well as the challenges associated with them.

Conference organized in partnership with Mines Paris PSL.
