A decade after the cleantech boom and the sharp drop in investment in the sector, the Climate Tech has been raising record amounts of Venture Capital and Private Equity funding in recent years. Contrary to the first wave of cleantech, public policies are now better adapted and consumer demand for sustainable products and solutions will continue to grow as the population becomes more aware of the need to act to limit climate change. However, these investments are still insufficient to adequately respond to the climate emergency and are heterogeneously distributed, both in terms of their origin and their target.
